QuickBooks Point of Sale incorrect product number or QuickBooks Point of Sale invalid product code errors can occur for a variety of reasons. The key reasons are as follows:

  • The QB Point of Sale Entitlement folder contains corrupted files.
  • The product code for QuickBooks point of sale installation is wrong.
  • In Windows, the user is not logged in as an administrator.

Solutions to Fix  Invalid Product Number Error in Quickbooks

Solution 1- Navigate to the WSActivity file and rename it

  • Type C:\Program Data \Intuit\Enter QuickBooks Point of Sale XX\Ini in the address bar on Windows Explorer.
  • Right-click on the WSActivity file and select Properties.
  • Select Rename.
  • As the new name, enter OLDWSActivity.
  • To save the file with the new name, press the Enter key.
  • Close the window now.
  • After closing the window, erase the entitlement once more.
  • Restart the QB Point of Sale application.
  • Examine QuickBooks Error 176109.

Solution 2- Empty the QuickBooks Point of Sale Entitlement folder

  • In Windows Explorer, type C:\Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8 in the address bar and press Enter.
  • Select all of the files in the folder. To do so, hold down the Ctrl and A keys at the same time.
  • Once you've selected all of the files, hit the Delete key. A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm your decision to delete files. To delete the files, select Yes.
  • Relaunch the QB Point of Sale application and register it once more. Check that you're using the right validation code.
